DIVISION OF LIQUOR CONTROL

The Ohio Division Of Liquor Control, DOLC, operates under the authority of Chapters 4301 and 4303 of the Ohio Revised Code. The DOLC is responsible for controlling the manufacture, distribution, licensing, regulation, and merchandising of beer, wine, mixed beverages and spirituous liquor within the State Of Ohio.

The Ohio Division Of Liquor Control is considered a Non-General Revenue Fund Agency. That is, the DOLC is self supporting and not supported by appropriations from the General Revenue fund. All expenses of the DOLC are paid from profits generated from the sale of spirituous liquor with the remaining net profits deposited into various state funds.
